Free & Reduced-Price Meals

Families may apply for free or reduced-price school meals at any time during the school year. Applications must be completed online through Infinite Campus or by submitting a paper application.

Please complete only one application per household. If your household income or circumstances change and you believe your family may qualify, we encourage you to submit an application.

Free and reduced-price meal benefits apply to reimbursable meals only. Benefits do not cover seconds, grab-and-go items, or other additional food purchases. Students may purchase these items at full price when sufficient funds are available in their lunch account.

High school students only may pay for grab-and-go by credit card.

How to Apply

Apply Online

Families can complete a free and reduced-price meal application through their Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Log in to your parent portal and follow the prompts to complete and submit the application.

Paper Application

Families may also complete a paper application. Completed applications should be submitted directly to the District Office.

30-Day Rollover Period

Free or reduced-price meal benefits from the previous school year carry over for the first 30 days of the new school year. To continue receiving these benefits, families must submit a new application and be approved by October 1. Only one application is required per household.

If a new application is not received and approved by October 1, students will be moved to paid meal status and charged the full price for breakfast and lunch. Full-price charges will continue until the application has been received, processed, and approved for benefits. Meal charges incurred before approval will not be reversed and will remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

"In 2025, the ND Legislature increased the expanded income guidelines to 225% of the federal poverty level. Families who qualify based on Federal or State Expanded Income Eligibility Guidelines (NDEIEG) will not need to pay for breakfast or lunch. The new State 225 Eligibility will provide meal reimbursements for those students who do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals under federal income guidelines, but whose income falls below the 225% poverty level. The supplemental state reimbursement is the difference between the USDA Federal Free and the USDA Paid Meal Reimbursement Rate."
