Student Enrollment

Thank you for choosing McKenze County Public School District #1! Whether you are enrolling a child for the first time or returning for another school year, we are excited to welcome your family.

MCPSD#1 is committed to providing a safe and caring learning environment where all students are empowered to grow, succeed, and thrive. This page will guide you through the enrollment process and provide the information you need to get started.

Once you submit your registration, you will receive a confirmation email. If additional information is needed, a staff member of our district will contact you promptly.

Students entering kindergarten must be five years old on or before July 31 to enroll for the current school year.

Open Enrollment

If you reside outside the district but would like your child to attend MCPSD#1, you will need to complete an Open Enrollment Application. Please note that specific timelines apply, and both your resident district and MCPSD#1 must sign off on the forms.

Open Enrollment forms only need to be completed once, unless they are submitted after the open enrollment deadline of March 1. A tuition agreement form only needs to be submitted if you are submitting an Open Enrollment form after the March 1 deadline. 

Watford City Virtual Academy

The Watford City Virtual Academy (WCVA) provides virtual education to K-12 students in the MCPSD#1 district.
